This acquisition expands IWS’s presence across central and southern Connecticut, reinforcing the company’s regional footprint and enhancing its ability to deliver high-quality service to more communities.

“We’re excited to welcome North Atlantic Waste & Recycling, a respected family-owned business, to the IWS team,” said Mike DiBella, founder and chief executive officer of Interstate Waste Services. “This acquisition strengthens our presence in Connecticut and affirms our ongoing commitment to delivering dependable, community-focused service. The acquisition of North Atlantic Waste & Recycling represents a significant step forward in IWS’s continued growth across the tristate area. It follows a series of strategic moves aimed at strengthening IWS’s market leadership, including Seaside Waste Services in Central and Southern New Jersey, Pinto Service, Inc. in northern New Jersey, Oak Ridge Waste & Recycling in Southwestern Connecticut and Suburban New York, as well as Marangi Disposal, the largest independent hauler in Orange and Rockland Counties, New York.

As Interstate Waste Services continues to expand its footprint, the company remains committed to sustainability, operational excellence, and community-focused service. These guiding principles—rooted in its family-founded legacy—continue to shape IWS’s approach to deliver reliable, responsible waste and recycling solutions.
